Types of Puppy Toys
If there is one thing you should know about owning a puppy, it is that lots of puppy chew toys will keep them from chewing on your shoes. When you bring a new puppy into your home, everything is fair game when it comes to chewing, especially if the puppy is teething. This is a habit that most puppies will grow out of however while it is happening if you do not want your house turned upside down then it is up to you as the puppy parent to provide types of puppy toys and chewy snacks for your family’s new addition.
There are many types of puppy toys It can seem dizzying to people who have not spent much time in a pet store. A good choice for your puppy would be a mix between hard and soft toys. Most people would assume that puppies want something hard to chew on however some puppies like softer chew toys in oppose to the rock hard rubber type toys that are mostly available.
If you cannot find a puppy toy that is soft for your puppy then you can very easily make one at home. All you need is an old sock. Make sure that you have washed the sock and it is clean before you give it to puppy. Take the sock and tie a few loose knots in it and a couple of tightly ties knots as well. Long tube style socks work best for this.
The puppy will enjoy chewing and trying to loosen the hard tight knots and will spend more time gumming and teething on the softer loose knots. There are many types of puppy toys, and many are very cheap. But just make sure you pick up your shoes, those can be a very expensive chew toy.
